We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Head Chef to support and work closely with the Executive Chef, leading the kitchen team and bringing creativity, energy and excellence to our food offering. This role is ideal for a chef who enjoys the fast pace of hotel service, thrives on teamwork and takes pride in delivering consistently exceptional dishes.

Minimum Requirements

• Culinary qualification from a recognised institution
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior kitchen leadership role within a hotel, resort or high-volume restaurant environment
• Proven experience managing large kitchen teams and multiple service outlets
• Strong knowledge of menu development, food cost control and kitchen operations
• Experience maintaining health, safety and hygiene standards in line with industry regulations
• Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to inspire a team
• South African ID or valid work permit

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Executive Chef to manage the daily operations of the kitchen
• Lead kitchen teams during service, ensuring consistent quality, presentation and timing
• Assist with the development and implementation of creative menus and new culinary concepts
• Manage food cost control, stock management and supplier coordination
• Train, mentor and develop junior chefs and kitchen staff
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health regulations
• Support the Executive Chef in maintaining high standards across all food outlets and functions
