Job Title: Vault Officer

Location: Bloemfontein

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the security and integrity of the vault at all times

• Monitor and control authorised access to the vault

• Maintain precise and up-to-date records of all items entering and leaving the vault

• Ensure strict compliance with all security protocols and procedures

• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms and security incidents

• Collaborate closely with security personnel and management teams

Essential Qualifications:

• Educational Qualification: Possession of a Matric Certificate (Grade 12) or recognised equivalent.

• Security Credentials: Valid PSIRA Grade C Registration and a current PSIRA Cash-in-Transit (CIT) training certificate.

• Firearm Competency: Valid Firearm Competency Certificate for a handgun with business purposes endorsement.

• Financial Standing: Clear credit record with no adverse history.

• Legal Standing: No criminal convictions.

• Business Affiliation: Must not be currently registered as a director of any company or business.

• Health: Medically fit to perform the duties associated with this role.

Experience:

Previous experience in security or a closely related field is required.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficient with computer systems and software

• Thorough understanding of security procedures and protocols

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Capable of working effectively under pressure

• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement

Working Conditions:

This role involves working within a secure environment, often in confined spaces. It may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of heavy objects. Shift work, including nights and weekends, may be necessary to ensure continuous 24/7 security coverage of the vault.
