Our Client, an established Waste Management firm is in search of results orientated, task driven, resourceful, positive and proactive Data Reporting Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced and deadline orientated environment.

You will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that support organisational decision-making.

One would describe you as a detail-oriented and client-centric problem solver who has strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver accurate, timely reports, dashboards, and visualisations.

Purpose of the Role

The Data Reporting Analyst will collect, analyse, and interpret data to help the organisation make informed decisions. This includes developing reporting tools, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting teams with insights that enable improved operational efficiency and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection, Analysis & Insights

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret large datasets to produce meaningful insights.
  • Identify trends, patterns, gaps, outliers, and variables influencing outcomes.
  • Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Create and update datasets aligned with the organisation’s evolving needs.

Reporting & Visualisation

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and data visualisations.
  • Communicate insights clearly through presentations and written reports.
  • Report findings that inform business strategies and operational improvements.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to management and executive leadership.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with departments across the business to gather reporting requirements.
  • Support teams with ad-hoc information requests and administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational challenges and ensure efficient service delivery

Administration & Process Support

  • Maintain, update, and organise data repositories and databases.
  • Support process flow documentation and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure reporting processes remain aligned with business needs and priorities.

Compliance

  • Manage data confidentially and in line with relevant data protection legislation and company policies.
  • Safeguard sensitive information at all times.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum qualification: Matric (Grade 12).
  • Beneficial: Certifications or qualifications in Data Management, Data Analysis, or Administration.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in data analysis, reporting, and administration is essential
  • Experience in Waste Management & Recycling (beneficial, but not required).
  • Experience using CRM systems and relevant digital tools.
  • Strong and proven advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards, graphs).
  • Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Knowledge of data analytics processes and data visualisation tools (advantageous).
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and report-writing abilities.
  • Business English essential; additional languages beneficial.
  • Own vehicle and valid driver’s license
