Job Duties:

• Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities for buildings, equipment, and facilities
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Manage maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented
• Oversee maintenance staff and contractors to ensure quality workmanship
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Identify and address maintenance issues promptly to prevent disruptions
• Implement preventive maintenance programmes to prolong the lifespan of assets

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in maintenance coordination or a related field
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Education:

Qualification in facilities management, engineering, or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in maintenance coordination

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of building systems and equipment
• Ability to analyse and solve maintenance issues
• Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management software
• Knowledge of budgeting and cost control

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification in facilities management
• Experience in the QSR / Food / Hospitality industry

Working Conditions:

• Office-based role with occasional site visits
• May require working evenings or weekends to oversee maintenance activities
• Ability to travel to different locations within the City of Cape Town
