Network Engineer

Summary
The Network Engineering team is responsible for delivering low-level Operations and Design aspects of the network topology. Our priority outcomes are Stability, Flexibility, Capacity, and Visibility into the network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and support networks for customers and third parties on daily activations on the BitCo network
- Conduct quality assessments of client installations, testing, and configuration
- Troubleshoot voice/data core networks and provide technical support in operational and lab environments to diagnose and isolate network problems. Generate reports and provide solutions.
- Meet SLAs and report on performance for internal and external helpdesk requests
- Validate new core network system software, features, and functions in lab and commercial environments
- Respond to customer network needs and questions, ensuring work is completed according to standards, guidelines, and processes
- Adhere to strict change control procedures
- Provide regular meeting minutes and updates for internal tasks and outcomes
- Train staff on new technologies and network advancements
- Create status and progress reports as needed
- Liaise with internal departments and technical resources as necessary
- Provide feedback on project status at meetings
- Keep stakeholders informed of issues and progress
- Pursue ongoing learning and development opportunities to ensure the success of Engineering Projects
- Complete any additional requests in a timely and professional manner to meet BitCo standards
- Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude and represent BitCo well at client sites
- Consult with customers at all levels regarding relevant deployments within their environment
- Remain accountable and responsible for assigned projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget
- Fulfil any other key responsibilities identified by the Chief Technical Officer or Departmental Manager
Qualifications and Experience Hard Skills Required
Mid-level resource with intermediate networking experience. Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a networking environment, actively working on the core infrastructure.
