Our client a global tech firm is seeking a Business Analyst Manager Lead to join their team in Cape town on a contract basis. They offer stability, growth, attractive rates and a great working environment. The role will be based onsite for 4 days a week.
We are looking for a strategic and experienced Business Analyst Manager to lead our business analysis function. This role is responsible for managing a team of business analysts and ensuring the delivery of high-quality business insights, project requirements, and change initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning business strategy with operational execution and digital transformation efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of business analysts, providing mentorship, direction, and performance management.
- Oversee the delivery of business analysis activities across multiple concurrent projects and initiatives.
- Partner with senior business leaders and project sponsors to understand strategic objectives and business needs.
- Ensure high standards in the documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
- Champion business analysis best practices, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), and tool usage across the function.
- Drive the prioritization and alignment of business initiatives with strategic business goals.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops, stakeholder engagements, and decision-making processes.
- Support enterprise-wide programs such as ERP implementations, omnichannel strategy, or data transformation.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the business analysis capability within the organization.
Requirements:
- Matric and a Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Finance.
- 7+ years of business analysis experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Retail industry experience is essential preferably in sectors such as FMCG, pharmacy, e-commerce, or supply chain.
- Proven success managing large-scale projects involving digital transformation, ERP, CRM, or omnichannel retail systems.
- Advanced proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Visio), data visualization (Power BI, Tableau), and SQL.
- Strong knowledge of business analysis frameworks (BABOK, Agile, Scrum, SAFe).
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating workshops, business case development, and stakeholder alignment.
- Focus on quality, timelines, and impact of the business analysis deliverables.
