COMMERCIAL ANALYST

Commercial
Accountable for specialist outputs and initiating changes in processes, policies, procedures, standards and services within inter-related functional areas of responsibility. This role will work with various concrete variables, requiring an understanding of the theory or practices underpinning inter-related functional processes within a multi-procedural environment.

Job Purpose
This role is responsible for ensuring consistent application of Commercial KPI’s across the organisation and continuously develop and optimise Commercial reports. Develop insights and recommendations that will enable the Commercial fraternity. To provide Regional Sales Teams with deep-dives and localised sales analysis resulting in localised insights in support of the business, regional and team performance.

The position will be reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Key Accountabilities and Outputs
Sales Reporting and Analysis
Compile sales reports across all reporting mediums, including, sales specific KPI measures, Daily/Weekly/Monthly summary report
Measure Business, Regional and Team performance across sales specific KPI measures
Conduct analysis of sales information to generate local insights and recommendations
Conduct business reporting and communication to key stakeholders, including compilation and distribution of current performance daily
Assist in generating customer behaviour insights
Provide Recommendations to optimise sales performance
Conduct master data clean up
Carry out sales trend analyses and planning across peak periods
Assist in the development of sales reporting based on information analyses
Identify and execute best practices in report design and automation
Guide and coach teams in order to ensure quality of output meets the appropriate standard
Communicate information in a timely, accurate and easily understood manner
Analyse standard reporting packs and provide recommendations to Regional Sales Managers
Conduct localised deep dives and trend analysis to support growth
Support weekly opportunity or issue identification for the sales teams
Analyse standard reporting packs and provide recommendations to Sales Teams
Conduct tracking of New Customer Take on and ensure Master Data is accurate and up to date

General Operational and Financial Management
Actively participate in operational planning and budgeting processes
Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systems
Ensure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controls
Control cost and take the necessary action to mitigate any financial risks or non-compliance


Qualifications and Experience

Relevant degree

Working knowledge of SAP & Power BI
Superior knowledge of systems such as MS Office Excel
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Extensive experience in development of programmes and reports.
Minimum 2 years’ experience within the FMCG industry would be advantageous and or 1 - 2 years Sales experience would be advantageous
