Your:

Qualifications

  • Completed Grade 12 (Matric) with a one-year course focused on administration.
  • A strong interest in starting a career in the insurance industry.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Underwriting and Administrative Support:

  • Assist in issuing new policies, renewals, and endorsements under the guidance of experienced underwriters.
  • Help prepare new business quotes and ensure that all related documentation is processed accurately.
  • Support the team in adhering to underwriting standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in routine administrative tasks, including saving and managing documents electronically.
  • Respond to customer queries and requests, ensuring all interactions are documented and followed up.

Client Interaction and Service Delivery:

  • Assist in maintaining high service quality by supporting the resolution of customer queries and complaints.
  • Help in negotiating renewal terms and preparing the necessary documentation.
  • Develop an understanding of the operational processes to contribute to achieving service delivery goals.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team to ensure timely and accurate client service.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with experienced underwriters to ensure service levels are met.
  • Learn from team members and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Assist in transferring knowledge and skills gained during the internship to colleagues.

Continuous Learning and Improvement:

  • Adhere to company policies, practices, and procedures while identifying areas for personal and team improvement.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements as you gain experience in the role.
