SENIOR PASTRY CHEF

Job Duties:

  • Creating and preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods
  • Developing new recipes and innovative pastry techniques
  • Supervising and training pastry kitchen staff
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to create menu items
  • Overseeing pastry kitchen operations and maintaining a clean and organised workspace

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification
  • Knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavours
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Culinary degree or relevant certification

Experience:

Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in pastry techniques and baking
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in pastry or baking
  • Experience in a high-volume kitchen or luxury hospitality environment
