Our client with a national footprint requires the duties of a Platform Transfer Specialist. Your:
Education:
- BCom or similar qualification in Finance, Investment Management, or Business Administration (NQF 7)
Experience:
- 6–8 years’ experience in the LISP/platform investment industry.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working specifically with transfer processing.
- Experience in Life and LISP products, with a strong understanding of Sectional Transfers.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Finswitch, CRM systems, and transfer administration tools.
will enable you to:
Execution of Transfer Activities:
- Facilitate and process all types of transfers (Section 14, Section 50, and discretionary) across LISP and Life platforms.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements, including FAIS and FICA.
- Perform reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve unmatched transactions timeously.
- Manage and quality-check all documentation including mandates, transfer forms, and confirmations.
- Track transfer workflows through internal systems such as the Wealth Connect CRM, Finswitch, and TAU, ensuring timely progression.
- Identify process gaps and recommend or implement improvements for transfer efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to quality standards.
Client and Adviser Support:
- Act as the first point of escalation for all complex transfer-related queries.
- Communicate proactively with advisers, clients, and third-party providers throughout the transfer lifecycle.
- Guide stakeholders on correct procedures and requirements to ensure compliance and avoid delays.
- Deliver accurate, timely, and professional responses via email, telephonically, and in meetings.
Data and System Management:
- Maintain accurate records of all transfer activities and interactions.
- Generate reports to track SLA performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure operational efficiency.
- Test and provide feedback for system enhancements relating to the transfer function.
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Build strong working relationships with internal departments (Client Services, Legal, Compliance, and Adviser Offices).
- Liaise with external platforms, asset managers, and insurers to streamline processes and manage expectations.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and training related to transfer processes and product changes.
Service Excellence and Risk Control:
- Monitor and manage turnaround times to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Identify risks in the transfer process and contribute to ongoing risk management initiatives.
- Ensure continuous improvement of service delivery through process reviews and stakeholder feedback.
- Assist in crisis resolution where delays or errors may impact the client or firm reputationally.
