Position Summary As a Demi Chef de Partie at our esteemed 4-star hotel, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Chef de Partie and ensuring the smooth operation of your assigned kitchen section. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: • Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
Section Support: • Support the Chef de Partie in managing a specific section of the kitchen, such as the grill, sauce, fish, or pastry.
Consistency and Quality: • Ensure consistency and quality in all dishes prepared, adhering to hotel recipes and standards.
Training and Supervision: • Help train and supervise Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants, providing guidance and ensuring best practices.
Inventory Control: • Assist in monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and managing inventory for your section to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
Health and Safety: • Maintain strict hygiene and health and safety standards in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Menu Development: • Contribute ideas for new dishes and improvements to existing recipes, staying abreast of culinary trends and techniques.
Team Collaboration: • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations and a positive working environment.
Problem-Solving: • Address and resolve any issues that arise in your section, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
Qualifications And Education Requirements: • Culinary diploma or equivalent training is advantageous.
Experience: • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role within a hotel or reputable restaurant.
Preferred Skills: • Strong culinary skills and expertise in a specific kitchen section. • Ability to manage and mentor junior staff. • Knowledge of kitchen operations, inventory management, and food safety. • Excellent time management and organizational skills. • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
