Executive Housekeeper

Newlands, Cape Town

You are an Executive Housekeeper who is an inspiring, empowering, and results-oriented leader with a passion for service excellence while maintaining standards and meeting or exceeding guest satisfaction goals.

You will be responsible for the overall management of the housekeeping department as well as setting and maintaining housekeeping service standards. Part of your duties will be to ensure the timeous availability of clean rooms in accordance with housekeeping operating standards and that the Floor Supervisors have carried out daily room inspections.

Conducting regular guest service, hygiene, and cleanliness training, as well as SOP training, with staff will enable them to offer world-class service to our guests, which is part of this role. Leading a large team will help foster teamwork and promote personal accountability. You will manage staff processes such as personal presentation, recruitment, performance management, training and IR.

Along with your Matric Certificate, you have a Diploma/Certificate in Hospitality Management/Housekeeping Operations/Hotel Management from an accredited institution. Your application is strengthened by a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy, upmarket hotel, with some experience leading and managing large teams, and a background in using technology, including MS 365 and Opera.

You have a strong Housekeeping operational background with experience in cost management, stock monitoring, workforce planning & rostering, IR, recruitment and selection and daily administration. You have the ability and flexibility to work shifts and having your own transport will set you apart from the rest.

You bring a dedication to quality and a results-focused mindset to every task, ensuring excellence in outcomes. Your ability to foster teamwork and take initiative sets you apart, while your skills in directing, structuring, and providing constructive feedback drive projects forward.
