The purpose of this role is to manage the day-to-day operations of the food production and culinary team within a designated outlet. The primary objective is to ensure the delivery of high-quality culinary products while maximizing revenue by maintaining operational efficiency, managing productivity, controlling stock and equipment usage, and adhering to company standards and food safety regulations.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

As the Sous Chef, you will:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Sous Chef to develop and deliver the outlet’s culinary business plan.
  • Manage shift operations, including staff scheduling, briefings, and mise-en-place preparation.
  • Ensure all food production meets the highest quality, hygiene, and presentation standards.
  • Stay ahead of food trends, and contribute to ongoing product and menu innovation.
  • Monitor and control food costs, stock, and operating supplies within budget.
  • Lead a high-performing kitchen team through coaching, training, and development.
  • Oversee compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain excellent guest relations by ensuring professional, courteous service and responding to feedback.
  • Address challenges proactively while maintaining accountability for outlet performance.

  • A culinary qualification and 3 years in a senior kitchen role as a Sous Chef.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food costing, and menu planning.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a passion for training and developing teams.
  • Deep understanding of hygiene audits, and kitchen safety
  • Adaptability, creativity, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.
