We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, proactive service driven team player to join the Warehouse buying team (Buydesign), with sound administration, attention to detail, good computer and negotiation skills.

The position is responsible for receiving and placing of all orders, responding to quote requests sent by lodges and maintaining strong administrative systems.

The successful candidate will report to the Buydesign Manager.

Listed below are the requirements for this position:

 

KEY OUTPUTS:

  • Liaising with lodges on all matters concerning their orders
  • Maintaining excellent relations with lodges
  • Maintaining excellent relations with all suppliers
  • Processing all orders - Processing these in Panstrat from quote to finalising
  • Completing the purchasing and following up on any products once the order is confirmed
  • Ensuring all orders and original invoices are received for orders placed and following up any outstanding documents
  • Co-ordinating any pre-payments of orders with Finance
  • Ensure supplier details are updated with the Admin team in order to update Panstrat
  • Sending updated Panstrat reports to the lodges on the status of their orders
  • Interaction with colleagues, lodges and suppliers
  • Backup for colleagues when they are away from the office
  • Work closely with the Design Team and the Brand team – product development, updating buyer’s guides/brand standard list
  • Be proactive in sourcing new and better product – sustainability/impact being in front of mind in what we purchase
  • Agree to travel to lodges and regions when required
  • Work with logistic to ensure that orders come in on time to get on trucks
  • Be prepared to work over weekends and overtime when required

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • A good knowledge of or previous experience in lodge operations
  • Computer literate – MS Office, Microsoft Excel & Word. Panstrat an advantage 
  • Working experience in buying and warehouse environment
