Our Client a global tech firm is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team in Durban (or remote for candidates in JHB and CPT) on a contract basis. They offer stability, growth, attractive rates and a great working environment.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Business Analyst with proven experience in both the retail and financial sectors. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, delivering data-driven insights to support decision-making, optimize operations, and drive profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for improvement in retail and financial operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, and performance reports.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to support strategic planning.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications for IT and development teams.
• Support the implementation of new systems and processes, including UAT and training.
• Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights to improve sales, margins, and customer experience.
• Work closely with finance teams on budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
• Create dashboards and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in retail and/or financial services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Experience with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of retail metrics (e.g., sales per square foot, inventory turnover) and financial principles (e.g., P&L, ROI).
