CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

The main purpose of this job is to maintain University grounds, open spaces and gardens within the ambit of Horticulture services.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Garden maintenance
  • General weeding, planting, sweeping, pruning, cleaning, litter collection and other maintenance of open spaces in the University grounds
  • Horticulture Nursery weeding, planting, sweeping and general maintenance
  • Safe use and cleaning of Horticulture tools and equipment
   
   

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  
  • Grade 8 or higher national qualification
    • 6 – 12 months years’ experience in gardening/lawn mowing
    • Physical fitness and ability to work outside
