Our client is seeking an experienced Interior Architect Designer based in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior design, with the technical skills and industry knowledge required to manage detailed drawing work and client engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Develop creative and functional interior design concepts that align with client needs and project requirements.

• Create detailed and working drawings using AutoCAD for manufacturing and construction purposes.

• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers throughout the design and implementation phases.

• Conduct site visits to ensure design execution aligns with plans.

• Select appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings with an understanding of their practical applications in joinery and building.

• Communicate effectively with clients to present ideas, gather feedback, and manage expectations.

• Support estimating processes and assist in preparing accurate project costings where required.

Skills:

• Proficient in AutoCAD and experienced in creating precise technical and working drawings.

• Strong design and spatial planning skills.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills to engage confidently with clients and team members.

• Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects.

• Creative thinking combined with practical problem-solving ability.

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualification in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in interior design, with a portfolio showcasing previous work.

• Knowledge of materials commonly used in joinery and the broader building industry.

• A basic understanding of estimating would be advantageous.
