Our client is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their team, based in Mozambique. A Finance Business Partner (FBP) plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the finance department and other parts of the business. They provide financial analysis, insightful analysis, and support to help drive strategic decision-making and improve overall business performance. A Finance Business Partner is a strategic role that requires a blend of financial expertise, business acumen, and strong interpersonal skills to effectively support and drive business performance.
Responsibilities:

Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Analyse financial performance against key business metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Lead the budgeting process for specific business units or the entire organization.

Develop financial forecasts and track performance against them.

Identify risks and opportunities in financial plans and advise management accordingly.

Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans.

Provide financial input and modelling for business cases, new projects, and investment opportunities.

Support business units with financial planning and performance improvement initiatives.

Act as a key point of contact for finance-related queries from other departments.

Work closely with operational teams to understand their financial needs and challenges.

Communicate financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance or management accounting. Professional certification with designation ACMA (CGMA) or studying towards such certification viewed as advantageous.

Minimum 5 years’ experience within the Mining and Metals industry, with a strong track record of supporting business decision-making.

Understanding of the business environment and the ability to align financial strategies with business goals.

Commitment to ethical behaviours and maintaining confidentiality of financial information.

Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and the use of financial software (e.g. Microsoft excel, ERP systems, Power BI tools).
