Our Client a Luxury Safari Lodge is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lodge Manager to oversee the operations of the lodge. The Lodge Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth-running of all aspects of the lodge, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing staff, and maintaining the lodge's high standards of service and hospitality. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the overall guest experience is of the highest standard, exceeding guest expectations at all times.
  • Manage guest reservations, ensuring accurate bookings and effective communication with guests before and during their stay.
  • Address guest complaints and concerns promptly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the lodge, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments.
  • Ensure efficient coordination between different departments to maintain smooth operations.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Monitor and manage lodge expenses, budgets, and financial performance.
  • Prepare regular reports on lodge operations, financials, and guest feedback for management.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise lodge staff, ensuring they are well-informed, motivated, and provide exceptional service to guests.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, respect, and effective communication among staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Implement and maintain proper emergency procedures and protocols.
  • Promote sustainable practices and environmental conservation within the lodge.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract new guests and retain existing clientele.
  • Assist with sales efforts, participating in site visits, and showcasing the lodge's offerings to potential clients.

Qualifications:

  • Qualifications Essential.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in lodge management, preferably in a safari lodge and Camp.
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional guest service and managing guest relations.
  • Must have International Clientelle experience.
  • Proficiency in hospitality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work long hours, including weekends and holidays, as required in the lodge industry.
  • Wildlife and conservation knowledge is desirable.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
