Job Title: Restaurant Manager

Location:

Western Cape, Cape Winelands District, Stellenbosch

Job Duties:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant
  • Manage staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction through excellent service
  • Implement policies and procedures to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and quality food production
  • Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, and scheduling expenditures

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage industry regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations

Education:

Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in restaurant management and 5* luxury environments

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of restaurant software for inventory management and POS systems
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene
  • Additional language proficiency
