Reputable Property Development firmis in search of a highly efficient and innovative Group Financial Manager to join their dynamic team.
Job Summary:
Seeking a dynamic and experienced Group Financial Manager to lead the financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will oversee financial planning, reporting, and strategic financial management while ensuring financial integrity, growth, and compliance. Reporting directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee group cash flow, tax compliance, budgeting, and forecasts. Manage monthly journals, reconciliations, debtors, creditors, and payment processing.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with South African accounting standards, including IFRS.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process and monitor performance against forecasts, providing insights to senior management.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Ensure optimal cash flow and manage funding, liquidity, and forecasting.
- Project Financing & Analysis: Assess risks and returns for property development projects, assisting with investment decisions and securing financing.
- Tax Compliance & Audit: Oversee tax planning, ensure compliance with South African tax law, and coordinate audits to meet regulatory standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, promoting development and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Reporting & Risk Management: Prepare financial reports for the CEO and Board, and assess financial risks, recommending actions to mitigate exposure.
Qualifications & Experience
- CA(SA) / CIMA / ACCA
- 3 years financial accounting / management experience gained ideally within the property development / building / construction / related industry
- High level of proficiency on MS Excel and ERP systems
- Strong understanding of property development financials, project financing, and revenue forecasting
- Experience with property development financial systems is an advantage
- Knowledge of South African accounting principles and financial regulations
Skills:
- Advanced analytical skills and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- High integrity, attention to detail, and professionalism
- Experience with financial modeling for property development (Advantageous)
- Familiarity with IFRS and South African tax regulations
